Special Care

Our Special Care Unit is a 16 bed, secured unit which is home to patients who wander or at risk for elopement.  The atmosphere is specifically designed to promote safety and well-being, diminish agitation and confusion, and provide a warm, loving and homelike atmosphere in which residents can thrive.  Residents living in the Special Care Unit enjoy their own activities and dining area.  Staff stays consistent in this unit so the staff and residents get to know each other and feel comfortable with each other, adding to each resident’s quality of life.
